Mortimer Brewster is living a happy life: he has a steady job at a prominent New York newspaper, he’s just become engaged, and he gets to visit his sweet spinster aunts to announce the engagement. Mortimer always knew that his family had a bit of a mad gene -- his brother believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt and his great-grandfather used to scalp Indians for pleasure -- but his world is turned upside down when he realizes that his dear aunts have been poisoning lonely old men for years! When Mortimer’s maniacal brother, Jonathan. (who strangely now resembles Boris Karloff) returns on the night that the aunts were planning to bury the newest victim, Mortimer must rally to help his aunts and protect his fiancé -- all while trying to keep his own sanity. as well

Missoula Children's Theatre Registration NOW OPEN

Missoula Children's Theatre provides a week-long residency starring 60 local students in a full-scale musical. The week begins with all students auditioning on Monday- don't worry, no advanced preparation is needed! Following the casting decisions, students rehearse the rest of the week and end the week with performances. 


Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), based out of Missoula, Montana, is the nation's largest touring children's theatre company and has been touring extensively for more than 30 years now from Montana to Japan, and will visit nearly 1,100 communities this year with 32 teams of Tour Actor and Directors.


The Community Arts Council is proud to be bringing Missoula back to Blount County this summer. Registration is now open so hurry spaces are limited and WILL FILL QUICKLY. Students ages 6-7 are $75 and Students ages 8 - 18 are $90.

Auditions for Freaky Friday the Musical - August 19th-20th

The new musical, Freaky Friday, based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, features a book by Bridget Carpenter - the co-executive producer and writer on the beloved TV hits, "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood" - and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey - the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of Next to Normal and If/Then.


When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
